BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has accused defeated forces of attempting to undermine the government by creating chaos through bomb attacks and arson.

He made the allegation while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting titled “The Role of Politicians and Professionals in the Long Anti-Autocracy Movement and the July Mass Uprising” at the Engineers’ Institution auditorium in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Rizvi said the BNP had taken charge of the country amid a severe crisis and that the government was making every possible effort to steer the country out of the difficult situation.

He added that the government’s accountability to the people and sincere commitment had helped it address existing challenges swiftly.

Warning of possible sabotage surrounding the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations, Rizvi said various national and international conspiracies could emerge around the festival.

He urged everyone to remain alert and vigilant to thwart any such plots and preserve communal harmony.

Leaders and activists from different levels of the BNP, along with representatives of professional organisations, attended the meeting.
