Hollywood actor RJ Mitte, best known for his role in the hit television series Breaking Bad, has died at the age of 34.

Mitte died in Brownsville, Texas, on Monday, October 12, according to a report by TMZ. The report said his death was being investigated as a suspected suicide.

A county official confirmed his death to TMZ, while law enforcement authorities said the circumstances surrounding his death were under investigation.

In a statement to TMZ, Mitte’s representatives expressed deep sorrow, describing him as a beloved actor, philanthropist and dedicated advocate for disability rights.

Mitte was best known for playing Walter “Flynn” White Jr., the son of Bryan Cranston’s character in Breaking Bad. Drawing on his own experience of living with cerebral palsy, he brought authenticity to the role and helped raise awareness about disability and social inclusion.

Born in Jackson, Mississippi, Mitte experienced complications linked to brain damage at birth and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of three. He was later raised by an adoptive family.

Despite his physical challenges, Mitte pursued an acting career and became widely recognised for his portrayal of Walter White Jr. His performance helped bring greater visibility to the experiences of people with disabilities on screen.

Breaking Bad, created by Vince Gilligan, premiered in 2008 and ran for five seasons. The crime drama went on to become one of television’s most acclaimed series, earning widespread praise for its storytelling and performances.
