The BNP will distribute nomination forms on Friday (October 16) among party aspirants for the by-election to the reserved women’s seat in the 13th National Parliament vacated by Ferdousi Ahmed Misti.
The forms can be collected from the party’s central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, between 10am and 5pm, according to a press release issued on Thursday by BNP Assistant Office Secretary Muhammad Munir Hossain.
According to the Election Commission’s schedule, the by-election to reserved women’s seat 323-Mohila-23 will be held on November 12.
Completed nomination forms must be submitted at the same venue between 10am and 5pm on October 17.
Ferdousi Ahmed Misti resigned from parliament on October 1 at the direction of BNP chief and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman following allegations of her involvement in an attack, looting and vandalism at the Radda MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur, Dhaka.
