Three members of the same family, including two women, suffered burn injuries in a gas explosion at a house in the Cherag Ali Market area of Tongi, Gazipur, on Wednesday morning.
The injured were identified as Lalchan, 60, Nasima Begum, 50, and Tanisa Akter, 16.
They were admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka.
The incident occurred around 6am on October 21, reportedly following a gas leak. The victims were taken to the hospital at around 7:30am.
Resident physician Sultan Mahmud Shikder said Lalchan suffered burns to 95 per cent of his body, while Nasima and Tanisa sustained burns to 85 per cent and 86 per cent of their bodies, respectively.
Their condition was described as critical.
