Three people sustained burn injuries in an apparent gas pipeline explosion in the Boroitala area of Keraniganj on Friday night.
The injured were identified as Rakib, 14, Rajon, 25, and Sumon, 27.
According to witnesses, the explosion occurred at the house of Arif Mia while repair work on a gas pipeline was underway, leaving the 3 people seriously injured.
They were later taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 5:30am, said Resident Medical Officer Shaon Bin Rahman.
Among the injuries, Rakib suffered about 17 percent burn injuries.
