Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday visited the shrine of Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali (R) in Bagerhat and offered prayers and munajat.
He visited the shrine after completing his scheduled engagements at Mongla Port.
Earlier in the morning, the prime minister attended the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Invest Bangladesh and China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) to expand economic and infrastructure cooperation.
He also laid the foundation stone of a project to construct two container jetties and develop supporting infrastructure to expand and modernise Mongla Port.
According to his schedule, Tarique Rahman was set to attend the inauguration of the ‘Notun Kuri Sports (Season-2)’ programme at Khulna District Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
