Iran says it targeted US military sites in Jordan

Iran’s army said on Thursday it had targeted US military facilities in Jordan with drones in retaliation for a fresh wave of US strikes on Iran, according to state media.

State television IRIB reported that the Iranian military had launched what it described as “suicide (kamikaze) drones” against US military communication systems and fuel storage facilities in Jordan.

“The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that, in response to the enemy aggression, it targeted the communication systems and fuel storage facilities of the US military in Jordan using suicide (kamikaze) drones,” IRIB reported.

The claim came hours after the United States carried out another round of strikes on Iran. No immediate confirmation or comment was available from US or Jordanian authorities regarding the reported attack, and the extent of any damage or casualties could not be independently verified.

The incident marks a further escalation in tensions between Iran and the United States amid the ongoing regional conflict.
