Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has declared that any Israeli citizen found on Malaysian soil will be immediately deported without compromise, reaffirming the country’s long-standing policy of not recognizing Israel as a state.
His remarks came after media reports suggested that several Israeli nationals may have entered Malaysia’s Johor state using dual citizenship or alternative travel documents.
Responding to the reports, Anwar said all relevant security agencies have launched a thorough investigation.
“We take this matter very seriously. It will not be tolerated under any circumstances. If any such individuals are identified, strict legal action will be taken and they will be deported immediately,” he told reporters.
The issue gained attention following concerns over activities at an institution known as “Network School” in Forest City, Johor. Allegations surfaced that individuals linked to the institution may include Israeli nationals.
Johor Chief Minister Onn Hafiz Ghazi has urged the Home Ministry and other authorities to investigate the matter swiftly.
Reports indicate the individuals may have entered Malaysia using passports from other countries or through dual nationality, rather than Israeli travel documents.
Authorities say the situation is now under close monitoring. Higher Education Minister Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir is expected to provide further details on the progress of the investigation in the coming days.
Malaysia has consistently maintained a firm stance against recognizing Israel, and the latest warning underscores the government’s strict enforcement of that position.
