The government has announced the Hajj packages for 2027, reducing airfare by Tk37,000 for next year’s pilgrims.
The packages, approved by the Executive Committee on Hajj Management, include two government packages and one standard private package, Religious Affairs Adviser Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaykobad announced at a press conference at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
Under the new packages, airfare has been reduced from Tk167,000 to Tk130,000, lowering the overall cost of performing Hajj.
The government has fixed the cost of Hajj Package-1 at Tk615,263, while Hajj Package-2 will cost Tk505,648.
For pilgrims travelling through private Hajj agencies, the Standard Private Hajj Package has been set at Tk513,648.
Officials also announced that prospective pilgrims must complete their registration by September 24, 2026, to participate in the 2027 Hajj.
Subject to the sighting of the moon, Hajj flights are scheduled to begin on April 8, 2027.
