The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a notice specifying the mandatory information and documents required for the pre-registration of prospective Bangladeshi pilgrims for Hajj 2027.
The notice, issued on Wednesday, said pre-registration is the first step for Bangladeshi citizens intending to perform the Hajj.
According to the ministry, applicants must submit their National Identity (NID) card, a Bangladeshi passport or birth certificate, a passport-size photograph, a mobile phone number, and a bank account number during the pre-registration process.
The ministry said members of the same family may use a single bank account for pre-registration.
It also made it mandatory for pilgrims travelling under both government and private management to have a bank account to ensure secure, transparent and orderly financial transactions related to Hajj.
Prospective pilgrims who completed pre-registration earlier without providing bank account information have been requested to submit the details during the final registration process.
Pre-registration for Hajj 2027 began on July 1.
In line with the roadmap announced by the Saudi authorities, the ministry said the final Hajj registration process must be completed by September 26.
