Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said the BNP government is firmly committed to transforming Bangladesh into a trillion-dollar economy by 2034, and efforts toward achieving that goal are already underway
The PM made the assertion on Thursday while addressing an event held at the China Friendship Conference Center in the capital Dhaka. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment by simplifying the tax and VAT systems and ensuring a safe and sustainable climate for foreign investment.
Tarique Rahman said, “Government policies play a crucial role in business success. Bangladesh faces many challenges, but it also has immense potential. The country needs secure foreign investment, and we are prioritizing the simplification of tax and VAT procedures to attract more investors. Bangladesh seeks sustainable and long-term foreign investment, and we want to work together to achieve that goal.”
He added that the current government is addressing various economic challenges while remaining committed to ensuring a favorable environment for business and investment.
The Prime Minister also said the government is focusing on simplifying VAT and tax procedures, digitalizing public services, and providing maximum security for investors to strengthen Bangladesh’s investment climate.
