A series of overnight Israeli military raids across the occupied West Bank has intensified tensions, leaving at least two Palestinians injured and multiple areas under heightened security operations.
According to reports from Al Jazeera correspondents, a Palestinian teenager and an elderly man were wounded by gunfire in Bethlehem and Nablus during the latest incursions.
Israeli forces carried out coordinated raids in several areas, including the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp near Jericho, the city of Qalqilya, and the village of Kobar in the Ramallah district. Operations also extended to Kafr Aqab, north of Jerusalem.
In the northern West Bank, troops stormed the town of Yabad and nearby villages such as Zababdeh and Burqin in the Jenin governorate. Additional raids were reported in Faroun, south of Tulkarem.
In Nablus, Israeli forces entered the villages of Tal and Qaryut, as well as the town of Beit Furik, where a large-scale detention campaign was launched. Homes were searched, and several residents were reportedly taken into custody.
During the operations, soldiers fired tear gas canisters toward residential areas in Qaryut, while Israeli settlers carried out attacks on Palestinian homes in the village of Urif, south of Nablus.
The latest wave of raids and settler violence underscores a continuing escalation in the West Bank, raising concerns over civilian safety and the potential for further unrest in the already volatile region.
