The Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) has received the International AI Innovation and Leadership Consortium (IAIILC) Prestige Award 2026 in recognition of its contributions to leadership, innovation, governance, education, cybersecurity, sustainable development, economic progress and global collaboration.
The award was presented by Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan at a ceremony held on Saturday at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka. BACCO General Secretary Faisal Alim accepted the award on behalf of the organization.
According to the organizers, BACCO earned the international recognition for its sustained efforts in promoting innovation, good governance, skills development, education, cybersecurity initiatives, sustainable economic growth and international cooperation.
BACCO said the award acknowledges its longstanding role in advancing Bangladesh’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) and digital services industries. The association has been working to strengthen the sector through policy advocacy, industry development, workforce training, youth empowerment and international partnerships.
Receiving the award, Faisal Alim described the recognition as a proud achievement for Bangladesh’s BPO and ITES industries.
He dedicated the honor to BACCO’s member organizations, industry partners, government stakeholders and thousands of professionals who have contributed to the sector’s development.
Alim said BACCO would continue working to build a competitive, innovative and sustainable digital services industry in Bangladesh.
The association also expressed gratitude to the International AI Innovation and Leadership Consortium (IAIILC) and the Universal Humanity Foundation (UHF) for the recognition, while thanking the government, development partners, member organizations and other stakeholders for supporting the country’s digital economy.
BACCO said the award would further strengthen its commitment to positioning Bangladesh as a leading global outsourcing and digital services hub while promoting innovation-driven industries and creating sustainable employment opportunities.
