The primary registration for Hajj 2027 will begin on July 27 and continue until September 24, according to a press release from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The schedule has been set in line with the roadmap declare by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. All intending pilgrims must complete their primary registration within this timeframe.
To complete the initial registration, applicants must deposit Tk 350,000 through a government or private agency. Those who complete the primary registration will need to pay the remaining package cost by December 10 to finalize their registration.
Before the initial step, prospective pilgrims are required to pre-register by paying Tk 30,000.
Pilgrims can register online through the government’s e-Hajj system (hajj.gov.bd) by creating a user account. Registration services are also available at union digital centres, offices of the Islamic Foundation, district and upazila model mosques, the Baitul Mukarram office, and the Dhaka Hajj Office.
Those opting for the government package must deposit the registration fee via a voucher at any branch of Sonali Bank. Meanwhile, pilgrims choosing private agencies must deposit funds into the designated bank accounts specified by their respective agencies, with details available on the Hajj portal.
Certain eligibility conditions apply. Individuals under the age of 15 are not permitted to perform Hajj. Alongside , people suffering from chronic illnesses such as heart, lung, liver, or kidney diseases, as well as neurological or mental disorders, dementia, or those undergoing cancer treatments like chemotherapy or radiotherapy, are not eligible.
People with contagious diseases that pose public health risks, such as tuberculosis or hemorrhagic fever, are also barred from travel. Additionally, pregnant women in the final two months or those with high-risk pregnancies will not be issued fitness certificates.
During primary registration, pilgrims must select their district for training and vaccination, choose the type of Hajj, and select a package. A passport valid until at least December 31, 2027, is also required.
