Ahead of officially taking over as Apple’s next CEO in September, current Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering John Ternus has pledged to maintain the company’s momentum in the entertainment and streaming business.
Speaking at the premiere of the fourth season of ‘Ted Lasso’ in Los Angeles, Ternus expressed confidence that Apple TV+ will continue its successful run.
Apple TV+ has built an impressive portfolio with award-winning productions, including the Academy Award-winning Best Picture ‘CODA,’ the blockbuster ‘F1,’ and Emmy-winning series such as ‘The Studio’ and ‘Ted Lasso.’
Speaking to international media on the red carpet, Ternus said Apple TV+ is currently delivering outstanding stories, memorable characters, and high-quality productions, adding that the company intends to continue that momentum in the years ahead.
Ternus was joined on the red carpet by outgoing CEO Tim Cook, who said he has been sharing his experience in Apple’s entertainment business during the leadership transition.
Cook emphasized that Apple’s strategy is not to produce the largest volume of content but to focus on creating the highest-quality productions.
He also said Apple will continue pursuing new partnerships wherever opportunities align with the company’s innovation strategy. As an example, Cook highlighted the film ‘F1,’ for which Apple developed a custom camera system to deliver a realistic, in-car racing experience for audiences.
Under John Ternus’ leadership, Apple is expected to continue expanding its innovation and strategic partnerships in the entertainment industry.
