Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milan has said that admission to Class XI in the upcoming academic year will continue to be based on students’ SSC and equivalent examination results, as in previous years.
He made the remarks in response to a question from journalists at the Education Ministry’s conference room on Monday (August 10).
The education minister said students would be admitted to Class XI under the previous marks- or GPA-based system.
Earlier, the results of the 2026 SSC and equivalent examinations were formally published at 10am at an event held at the Education Ministry’s conference room.
Before the publication, chairmen of the respective education boards handed over the examination results.
The overall pass rate this year is 62.25 percent.
Professor Dr Syed Akhtaruzzaman, current president of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, presented the results.
