Bangladesh is showcasing a diverse range of home, lifestyle and handicraft products at Home Show Brazil 2026 in São Paulo, seeking to expand its export basket and tap new markets across South America.

The three-day trade fair began Tuesday at Distrito Anhembi, with financial support from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and coordination by the Bangladesh Embassy in Brasília.

Four Bangladeshi companies — Jihan Plastic Industries, Mother Tannery, Rainbow Jute and Classical Handmade Products — are participating in the fair with five exhibition booths.

The EPB and Bangladesh Embassy have also set up a separate promotional booth featuring brochures, leaflets and publications on Bangladeshi export products, along with audio-visual materials highlighting the country’s export sector.

The participating companies are displaying a wide range of products, including jute goods, bags, leather items, natural-fibre baskets, home décor products, bamboo goods, terracotta and clay products, and Nakshi Kantha.

The Bangladesh pavilion was formally inaugurated on Tuesday morning in the presence of embassy officials, representatives of Brazilian government agencies, fair organisers and Bangladeshi exhibitors.

The stalls attracted a growing number of visitors and prospective buyers following the inauguration, with several business-to-business meetings also taking place.

Potential buyers visited the booths to learn more about the quality and variety of Bangladeshi products, with some expressing interest in placing orders.

As part of the fair’s sideline events, a seminar titled “Production and Export of Home and Lifestyle Products from Bangladesh” is scheduled for Wednesday, bringing together representatives of Brazilian business organisations and foreign buyers.

Bangladesh’s participation is expected to help local exporters promote home décor and lifestyle products in Latin American markets, build new business connections and identify potential buyers.

The initiative also aims to diversify Bangladesh’s export destinations and strengthen its presence in the South American market.
