Maldives envoy meets PM’s foreign affairs adviser

Maldives High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shiuneen Rasheed paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon on Wednesday afternoon.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the Maldives and various issues of mutual interest.

They placed emphasis on strengthening cooperation in areas including tourism, human resources and investment.

The foreign affairs adviser also requested the Maldivian side to further expand employment opportunities for Bangladeshi workers in the Maldives.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and the Maldives.
