The schedule for the upcoming local government elections may be announced in September, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A M M Nasir Uddin said on Thursday (August 27).
Speaking to journalists at his office at the Election Commission building, the CEC said the elections could be held in late November or December.
He added that the Election Commission would ask the Ministry of Education to adjust annual examinations to facilitate the elections.
