Eight officials of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been given new assignments, including five additional deputy commissioners (ADCs) and three deputy commissioners (DCs).
DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed issued two separate office orders on Sunday (August 30), making the changes. The orders said the postings were made in the public interest and would remain effective until further notice.
According to the orders, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Sonaher Ali has been transferred from the Detective Branch-Mirpur Division to the Detective Branch-Gulshan Division.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Sazzad Hossain has been assigned to the Cantonment Zone under the Gulshan Division, moving from the Welfare and Force Division.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abir Hasan, PPM, has been transferred from the Cantonment Zone to the Commissioner’s Office as Staff Officer to the Commissioner.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury has been transferred from the Detective Branch-Ramna Division to the POM-East Division, while Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Nazrul Islam, PPM, has been moved from POM-East to the Ramna Zonal Team of the Detective Branch-Ramna Division.
In a separate order, three deputy commissioners were also given new assignments: Md Sharfuddin, Md Azad Rahman and Mohammad Nure Alam.
Md Sharfuddin has been transferred from the post of deputy commissioner to the Procurement and Workshop Division. Md Azad Rahman has been moved from the Traffic-Wari Division to the Development Security Division, while Mohammad Nure Alam has been transferred from the City Research and Development Division to the Traffic-Wari Division.
The orders took immediate effect.
