An “Entrepreneurs’ Meet 2026” was held in Sirajganj on Friday to promote business networking, experience sharing and new commercial connections among entrepreneurs.
More than 100 local entrepreneurs, along with businessmen, investors and media professionals from Dhaka, took part in the daylong event organised by the “Smart Tourism and Entrepreneurs Sirajganj” Facebook group, with support from Sirajganj Economic Zone and SirajganjInfo.com.
Sheikh Monwar Hossain, director of Sirajganj Economic Zone, attended the event as chief guest. Special guests included Channel i Special Correspondent Mazharul Haque Manna, Investment Alliance of Bangladesh founder Lion Md Kawser and Sirajganj Chamber of Commerce Director Tanvir Mahmud Palash.
Participants exchanged business experiences and discussed investment opportunities in Sirajganj, with particular focus on the economic zone, agriculture, industrialisation and entrepreneurship development.
Sheikh Monwar Hossain highlighted Sirajganj’s industrial potential and shared suggestions on business expansion and the possible role of the economic zone in strengthening the local economy.
Aslam Uddin, founder of Smart Tourism, said such networking initiatives would continue in the future.
Abdullah Al Safi, founder of SirajganjInfo.com, stressed the importance of building regular links between local entrepreneurs and businessmen and investors from Dhaka to make Sirajganj’s business potential more visible.
Manna highlighted the tourism potential of the Jamuna River and shared his experience in tourism-related investment. He said greater participation by local entrepreneurs could attract investors from Dhaka and elsewhere to Jamuna-based tourism.
Chamber Director Tanvir Mahmud Palash discussed training opportunities for small and medium entrepreneurs and membership benefits, while Lion Md Kawser advised small entrepreneurs on investment and building business credibility.
The programme featured an entrepreneurship seminar, a networking cruise on the Jamuna, an eco-park visit, sports competitions, a raffle draw, cake cutting and lunch.
SirajganjInfo.com also honoured entrepreneurs for their contributions to agriculture, tourism, women’s entrepreneurship, education and social business, content creation and innovation.
