Police have solved the murder of 13-year-old Ishiyat Shahriar Opritom, the only son of Cumilla University teacher Dr Nahida Begum, saying he was beaten to death to snatch his iPhone.
Cumilla Superintendent of Police Md Anisuzzaman disclosed the information at a press conference at 2:10pm on Sunday.
Four people—Tuhin, Fahad, Kamrul and Siam—have been detained in connection with the murder, the police superintendent said.
He added that all four had confessed to their involvement in the killing.
