DIGs among 15 police officers transferred

In the latest reshuffle in the police administration, the government has transferred 15 police officers, including deputy inspector generals (DIGs), additional DIGs and superintendents of police (SPs).

The Home Ministry issued two separate notifications on Tuesday.

According to one notification, Mohammad Enamul Haque, Additional Police Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police, has been transferred as Additional Deputy Inspector General of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) and Specialised Training Centre in Khagrachhari.

Paritosh Ghosh, Deputy Inspector General of APBn and Specialised Training Centre, Khagrachhari, has been transferred to the APBn office in Chattogram Hill Tracts.

Habibur Rahman Khan, Deputy Inspector General of the Highway Police, has been transferred as Commandant of the Traffic and Driving School (TDS), while Additional DIG Anisur Rahman of the Special Branch (SB) has been transferred to the Khulna Range.

Meanwhile, Additional DIG Gias Uddin Ahmed, who was serving as an officer on special duty (OSD) at the Home Ministry, has been attached to the Rangpur Range.

Mohammad Jashim Uddin, a Superintendent of Police who was also serving as an OSD at the Home Ministry, has been appointed Superintendent of Rajshahi.

Besides, nine more police officers of the Bangladesh Civil Service (Police) cadre have been appointed and transferred to different positions and workplaces, according to another notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The orders will come into effect soon.
