Norway began their UEFA Nations League campaign with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Denmark in Oslo on the back of two goals from star striker Erling Haaland.
The hosts made a flying start, taking the lead in the 14th minute through Oscar Bobb. Receiving a pass from Martin Odegaard, Bobb cut through the Danish defence before curling the ball into the far corner.
Norway doubled their lead just four minutes later. Haaland collected Antonio Nusa’s pass and fired a powerful shot through goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen’s legs to make it 2-0.
Denmark refused to give up and pulled one back in the 25th minute. Mikkel Damsgaard reduced the deficit with a superb free-kick.
Denmark completed the comeback after the break. Norway goalkeeper Orjan Nyland saved Morten Hjulmand’s header from a corner, but Rasmus Hojlund headed in the rebound to level the score at 2-2.
Norway then regained control and Haaland restored their lead in the closing stages. Nusa played a short pass to Odegaard, who cut the ball back for Haaland to fire a powerful shot into the near corner and make it 3-2.
Norway faced late pressure after David Moller Wolfe was sent off for a second yellow card in the third minute of stoppage time.
However, the hosts held on with 10 men to secure all three points.
