29 JnU students shortlisted for Prime Minister’s Gold Medal

A total of 29 students of Jagannath University (JnU) have been initially nominated for the Prime Minister’s Gold Medal for the academic years 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The university disclosed the information in a notice signed by its acting Registrar, Prof Dr Md Sheikh Gias Uddin, on Sunday.

According to the notice, seven students have been nominated for the 2022 Prime Minister’s Gold Medal, seven for 2023, seven for 2024 and eight for 2025.

The nominated students have been asked to submit the required documents to the Registrar’s Office by October 1, 2026, during office hours.

They have been instructed to complete the Prime Minister’s Gold Medal nomination form available on the University Grants Commission (UGC) website, or the form attached to the university notice, following the prescribed guidelines, and submit two hard copies.

The required documents include a self-signed declaration, two recently taken passport-size photographs, certificates and mark sheets/transcripts/grade sheets of all educational qualifications, and a copy of the National Identity Card.

All documents must be duly attested and submitted in hard copy through the director of the concerned institute or the chairman of the relevant department to the university Registrar’s Office.

The students must also send soft copies of the required documents in PDF format to the email address specified in the university notice.

For 2022, the initially nominated students are Saddam Hossain, Rumana Siddika Marufa, Ayesha Akter, Rukeya Parvin, Md Billal Hossain, Jannatul Ferdous Proma and Mujtaniba Jahan Mashraka.

Those nominated for 2023 are Md Anwar Shah, Sharmin Akter, Sadia Jannat Mitu, Joy Pal, Mst Shumona Akter, Tanzum Ahmed Nudi and Tasnima Akter.

The 2024 nominees are Ariful Islam, Asma Akter, Muhammad Golam Rohman Shafi, Sadia Khanam, Ragib Shahriar Rafi, Jannatun Naher Urmi and Md Muhib Ahsan Chowdhury.

The 2025 nominees are Somaiya Tabassum, Faria Akter Eva, Shanjida Sarmin Mouri, Dipanwita Baidya, Anika Tabassum Antara, Abha Rahman, Bidisha Adhikari and Mst Faria Yasmin.

The nominations are preliminary and are subject to completion and verification of the required documentation.
