Bangladesh will face Singapore today (Monday) in their second Group A match of the FIFA ASEAN Cup at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. The match kicks off at 3pm Bangladesh time.
Bangladesh suffered a 3-0 defeat to Malaysia in their opening match, leaving them needing points against Singapore to keep their hopes of progressing alive.
Coach Thomas Dooley is expected to make four changes to the starting XI. Zidan Yousuf could replace Shakil Ahad Tapu in defence, while Shuki Itofusai may come in for Farhamidul Islam. Farhan Ali Wahid is expected to lead the attack, with Sheikh Morsalin also likely to start.
Mitul Marma could replace Mehedi Hasan Srabon in goal.
Dooley is seeking a response from his side after the loss to Malaysia, with Bangladesh aiming to correct their mistakes and adopt a more attacking approach against Singapore.
