The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has sought bank account details of prominent content creator Salman Muqtadir.
The financial intelligence agency sent a letter to all banks and financial institutions in Bangladesh on Wednesday (September 30), according to several banks that confirmed receiving the letter.
The letter instructed banks and financial institutions to provide information on Muqtadir’s bank accounts, including account-opening forms, KYC documents and transaction statements, within 30 minutes of receiving the request.
The development comes days after Muqtadir’s ‘Brown Fish’ studio was attacked, vandalised and looted on Saturday night (September 26).
