Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Leader of the Opposition Shafiqur Rahman has expressed anger over the reported attack, vandalism and looting at popular content creator Salman Muqtadir’s studio in Dhaka’s ECB Chattar area.
In a post on his verified Facebook page on Sunday, Shafiqur Rahman shared a video in which Salman described the attack and looting at his studio.
In the caption accompanying the video, the Jamaat chief alleged that “extortionists” had raided Salman’s home and studio late at night, vandalising the premises and looting valuables.
Addressing the alleged extortionists, Shafiqur wrote that those who “throw stones at a hornet’s nest thinking it is a honeycomb” could eventually face the consequences of their actions.
He also questioned whether those in positions of authority could control extortionists, saying such incidents were continuing one after another.
“Such incidents will come to an end one day, InshaAllah,” he wrote.
Shafiqur has previously raised concerns over law and order and called for those responsible for attacks and vandalism to be brought to justice.
