Police detained seven people after receiving information about an alleged attempt to grab land in the Alinagar area of Pallabi in Dhaka.
Pallabi Police Station Sub-Inspector Al-Amin said they were detained on Thursday morning while allegedly vandalising a tin-shed concrete house in the area.
“We went to the spot after receiving the information and found a tin-shed house being vandalised. Seven people were detained from the scene and brought to the police station for questioning,” he said.
The police officer said legal action would be taken after verifying the identities and involvement of those detained.
