Gold prices have fallen again in Bangladesh, with the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) cutting the price of 22-carat gold by Tk1,691 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Under the new rate, effective from 10am on Monday, a bhori of 22-carat gold jewellery will cost Tk229,080, including VAT.
The price reduction follows a decline in the price of pure gold in the local market, BAJUS said.
The new rate will remain in effect at jewellery shops across the country until further notice.
Making charges will be added depending on the design of the jewellery.
