Police have brought Suman, the CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver arrested in connection with the murder of schoolgirl Jannatul Tazmin, 15, to Cumilla.
They have also recovered the mobile phone Tazmin had with her, based on information provided by him.
Suman was brought to Cumilla from Chattogram around 4pm on Friday after his arrest and completion of legal procedures, Additional Superintendent of Police Lutfor Rahman said.
Police are investigating whether Suman acted alone or others were involved in the killing.
Investigators have also questioned people with whom he had communicated by phone, but have yet to confirm whether anyone else was involved.
Suman was arrested at his brother’s house in Chattogram on Friday.
Tazmin’s body was recovered from a paddy field in Jagatpur village of Cumilla’s Lalmai upazila on Thursday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
