Four more people died of dengue and 2,193 were hospitalised in the 24 hours to 8:00am Sunday, pushing the country’s death toll from the mosquito-borne disease to 303 this year.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), two of the latest deaths were reported in Khulna division, while Chattogram and Rajshahi divisions recorded one death each.
Currently, 6,169 dengue patients are receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
Since January 1, a total of 99,275 people have been admitted to hospitals with dengue. Of them, 92,803 have recovered, according to the DGHS.
