DHAKA: Palli Sanchay Bank has deposited Tk60 crore in dividends declared in favour of the government up to the 2023-24 fiscal year into the state treasury.
The bank formally handed over the dividend cheque to the government on Sunday.
Palli Sanchay Bank Board Chairman Dr AKM Jahangir and Managing Director Salma Banu handed over the cheque to Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury at the Secretariat on 25 October.
Financial Institutions Division Secretary Nazma Mobarek was present at the cheque handover ceremony.
Bank Director Nure Alam Talukder also attended the event, along with Deputy Managing Director Md Golam Mortuza, General Managers ABM Zahid Hossain and Md Alauddin, Board Secretary and Senior Principal Officer Muhammad Ali, and Senior Principal Officer Sukanta Kumar Ghosh.
The cheque handover formally confirmed the deposit of the Tk60 crore dividend into the state treasury, completing the bank’s payment of dividends declared in favour of the government.
No further details were disclosed at the event about the bank’s financial performance, the dividend calculation or the specific fiscal years from which the deposited amount was generated.
