DMP arrests 84 in crime-prone areas of Motijheel

Police have arrested 84 people in raids across crime-prone areas under the Motijheel Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

DMP Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Niaz Mehedi disclosed the information on Monday (October 26).

According to the Motijheel Division, the arrests were made during operations in crime-prone areas under different police stations on Sunday (October 25).

Of the arrested, four were detained by Motijheel Police Station, 28 by Paltan Police Station, four by Sabujbagh Police Station, 13 by Khilgaon Police Station, four by Rampura Police Station, 19 by Shahjahanpur Police Station and 12 by Mugda Police Station.

Legal action has been taken against those arrested, the police official said.
