The government has transferred 85 sub-registrars to maintain administrative discipline and coordination.

The Law and Justice Division sent the transfer order to the Inspector General of Registration on Monday (October 26).

According to the order, the transferred officials must hand over their current responsibilities to officers designated by the Inspector General of Registration by October 29. They must then join their new workplaces immediately.

The division has requested the Inspector General of Registration to issue the necessary notifications regarding the officials’ joining at their new workplaces.

Sub-registrars work at the field level under the Directorate of Registration, overseeing the registration of deeds related to land, flats and houses, as well as gift deeds, partition deeds and mortgages. Their responsibilities also include preserving registered deed records, collecting prescribed fees and duties, and conducting registration activities in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
