Pakistan condemns Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia

Pakistan has condemned Houthi ballistic missile attacks launched from Yemen targeting Saudi Arabia, including areas near the Islamic holy sites.

“These reprehensible attacks constitute a grave violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and demonstrate a blatant disregard for the sanctity of Islam’s holiest sites and the safety of civilians,” Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Islamabad reiterated its solidarity with Riyadh and its commitment to the Mecca alliance, which has agreed to activate collective deterrence measures.

“Pakistan reaffirms its steadfast support for the security, stability and defence of the kingdom – including the protection of the two Holy Mosques – against any external aggression or threat,” the statement added.
