Staff Correspondent: The government has appointed Md Saidur Rahman as Minister (Press) at the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, India, on a one-year contractual basis.
The appointment was announced in a notification issued by the Contract and Foreign Recruitment Wing of the Ministry of Public Administration on July 19, 2026.
According to the notification, Saidur Rahman will serve in the post for one year from the date of joining, subject to relinquishing any professional, business or employment affiliation with any government, semi-government, autonomous or private organisation.
The notification said the detailed terms and conditions of his appointment will be specified in a separate contract.
The order was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration with the approval of the President and signed by Deputy Secretary (Contract and Foreign Recruitment) Md Golam Imran.
