The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,386 cases against traffic law violators during enforcement drives carried out across the capital.
According to the DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division, police also seized 394 vehicles and towed away another 314 during the operation conducted on Monday (July 20).
Among the traffic zones, Motijheel recorded the highest number of cases with 299, followed by Gulshan (251), Tejgaon (180), Uttara (174), Wari (166), Mirpur (153), Lalbagh (94), and Ramna (69).
The DMP said the drives were conducted in different parts of Dhaka as part of ongoing efforts to enforce traffic laws and improve road discipline.
Officials added that such operation will continue regularly to ensure safer roads and a more orderly traffic system in the metropolitan area.
