No fuel shortage at petrol pumps, owners’ assoc 

The Bangladesh Petrol Pump Owners Association has said there is no shortage of fuel at any petrol pump across the country and urged consumers not to be misled by rumours.

The assurance came in a statement issued on Wednesday (July 22) and signed by the association’s Convener, Syed Sazzadul Karim Kabul.

According to the statement, all petrol pumps nationwide have sufficient fuel stocks, and supplies are being maintained regularly in line with consumer demand.

The association urged consumers to purchase only the amount of fuel they actually need and avoid panic buying based on misinformation or rumours.

It also warned that unnecessary stockpiling could create artificial pressure on the supply chain and disrupt the normal distribution of fuel across the country.
