Seven people were killed in a road accident in Bogura’s Erulia in the morning, and hours later, a husband and wife were killed in another crash at the same location.
The second accident occurred around 4:30pm Friday in front of Erulia Airport on the Bogura-Naogaon regional highway.
The deceased were businessman Babul Hasan, 55, and his wife Jesmin Bibi, 47, residents of Atapara in Bogura city.
Their eight-year-old grandson, Zulkar Nain, was seriously injured in the accident.
The couple was travelling by motorcycle with their grandson to attend a family invitation in Kahaloo when a private car coming from the opposite direction collided with their motorcycle.
Babul died on the spot, while Jesmin was taken to hospital in critical condition and later died while undergoing treatment.
The injured child was also hospitalised.
Earlier in the morning, seven day labourers were killed when a passenger bus lost control and ran over workers waiting for jobs beside the same highway in Erulia.
