An air-conditioned bus of Prime Paribahan caught fire while parked near the Mohakhali bus terminal in Dhaka on Thursday afternoon.
The Fire Service received the report at around 1:32pm and sent two units from Tejgaon Fire Station to the scene.
The fire was brought under control at 1:46pm and completely extinguished by around 2:02pm.
According to the Fire Service, the bus had arrived at the Mohakhali terminal from Sherpur before the fire broke out, apparently from the air-conditioning system. An electrical short circuit is suspected to have caused the fire.
No casualties were reported, while the extent of damage was not immediately known.
