Commercial innovations already underway were showcased, including local women processing mango seed kernels into cosmetic creams and recycling farm waste into organic fertilizer.
To cushion the three-to-four-year gestation period for new orchards, smallholder farmers are advised to utilize expert-guided inter-cropping with cash crops like vegetables to maintain steady cash flow.
