Dhaka: United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has thanked Bangladesh for expressing solidarity following the recent attack on the UAE amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. He also expressed his interest in making an official visit to Dhaka at the earliest convenient opportunity.
According to the UAE Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday (July 30), the UAE President conveyed his gratitude in a letter addressed to Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Tarek Rahman, expressing sincere appreciation for Bangladesh’s support during a difficult time.
In the letter, Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the long-standing partnership between the two countries by expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, development, and humanitarian assistance.
He also warmly welcomed Prime Minister Tarek Rahman’s invitation to visit Bangladesh and said he looks forward to undertaking an official visit at the first suitable opportunity.
The UAE President expressed confidence that the visit would further deepen the strong and friendly ties between the two nations.
The letter noted that Bangladesh and the UAE share a robust and multifaceted relationship built on mutual respect, close friendship, and a shared commitment to regional peace, stability, and prosperity.
Sheikh Mohamed also expressed his condolences over the deaths of two Bangladeshi nationals living in the UAE, extending his deepest sympathies to the bereaved families and to the people of Bangladesh.
