The government has banned the use of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s photograph, including 3D or any other graphic representation, on banners, festoons and billboards prepared for official events.
The directive was issued in a circular by the Cabinet Division on Sunday.
According to the circular, publicity materials for government programmes must focus on the theme of the event and include only relevant and necessary information.
The designs should clearly reflect the programme’s objectives, message and subject matter, the circular said.
The Cabinet Division said the directive takes immediate effect.
