A committee to formulate Bangladesh’s new 2028 curriculum will be formed within the next week, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon said Tuesday.
The new curriculum will introduce “Learning with Happiness”, technical education and sports from Class One, the minister said.
Speaking at an event organised jointly by the National Academy for Primary Education (NAPE) and Save the Children in Bangladesh in the capital, Milon said the committee would begin work on developing the new curriculum once formed.
He said the curriculum would focus not only on academic learning but also on enjoyable learning, technical skills and sports to support students’ physical and mental development.
The minister added that practical skills would receive greater emphasis under the new approach.
He said the opinions of relevant stakeholders and the needs of students would be taken into consideration while formulating the curriculum.
