Honorary Consul General of Bangladesh in Costa Rica, Michel Maher Hourani, on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Miami, where he held talks with Consul General Seheli Sabrin on expanding bilateral economic cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides explored opportunities to strengthen trade and investment relations between Bangladesh and Costa Rica, with particular focus on sectors offering strong commercial potential.
Seheli Sabrin showcased a range of Bangladeshi products, including handicrafts, jute goods and ceramic items, highlighting the country’s export strengths.
Michel Maher Hourani praised Costa Rica’s thriving tourism industry and expressed interest in promoting Bangladeshi jute and pharmaceutical products in the Costa Rican market.
The Bangladesh Consul General reaffirmed the mission’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation and facilitating greater business engagement between the two countries.
As a gesture of goodwill, Michel Maher Hourani was presented with traditional Bangladeshi jute products and tourism brochures.
