The National Standing Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) held a meeting at the party chairman’s office in Gulshan on Friday night.
BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman presided over the meeting, which began at around 8:00pm.
According to the BNP Press Wing, the meeting discussed the country’s overall political, social and economic situation in detail.
The leaders also discussed ways to strengthen the party’s organisational activities and took decisions on various policy-related matters.
Senior members of the BNP Standing Committee attended the meeting.
