Three people died with measles-like symptoms and 1,356 new cases were reported across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The DGHS control room disclosed the figures in a press release on Monday, October 5.
Of the new cases, 1,296 involved people with measles-like symptoms, while 60 were confirmed measles cases.
From March 15 to October 5, a total of 197,722 people were identified with measles-like symptoms, including 21,808 confirmed cases, the DGHS said.
During the period, 175,336 patients with measles-like symptoms were admitted to hospitals, while 168,742 recovered and were discharged.
The death toll among patients with measles-like symptoms reached 1,026 during the period, including three deaths in the past 24 hours. A total of 102 people have died from confirmed measles, with no confirmed measles deaths reported in the latest 24-hour period.
