The government has appointed a new deputy commissioner (DC) for Sylhet, reversing its earlier decision.
Abdullah Al Mamun, deputy secretary at the Information and Communication Technology Division, has been posted as the new DC of Sylhet.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Thursday night appointing him to the post, just 11 days after Md Reza Hasan had been transferred to Sylhet as deputy commissioner.
