According to the embassy, all the injured Bangladeshis had been waiting in transit at the airport for connecting flights from Riyadh to Jeddah.

The embassy arranged accommodation and meals for 100 passengers who had arrived from Bangladesh or were waiting to travel to destinations across Saudi Arabia. They were accommodated at Marriott and Radisson hotels and the dormitory of Princess Nourah University.

Special buses were arranged to transport 67 people who had arrived from Bangladesh wearing ihram garments for Umrah from Riyadh to Jeddah.

The embassy also made arrangements to send around 400 Bangladeshi passengers stranded after the cancellation of Saudia Airlines flight SV804 from Riyadh to Dhaka to Bangladesh via King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.

In addition, the mission assisted two Bangladeshi workers travelling from Riyadh to Bahrain through the Al Khobar land border.
